A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .

How much do they go for?

When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard price is $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.

Do they fit as expected?

I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.

They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size

Is the comfort worth it?

They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.

How durable are they?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

These are the best sneakers I own. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Are they worth it?

Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
